Trip to Constanta

The sea was a little restless.
This is a restaurant called the "Flower Terrace". You can come eat and enjoy/buy different other items.
The famous Telegondola. A means of transportation built over the Mamaia resort. While getting from one end of Mamaia to another, you can also enjoy an amazing view from up high.
As you can see, the beach was quite empty. A few weeks ago you could not find one decent spot for your towel.
The sea again, beautiful indeed.

The Guinness boat-restaurant. It was closed, so I cannot tell you how the food tastes.

The Casino in Constanta, one of the frequent symbols of the city. It is beautiful indeed.

Casino closer view.
The Constanta Port, quite far from where we were.
In the Casino area, the sea was more restless, as compared to Mamaia
Fishes (as in different species) from the Constanta Aquarium.

And finally, a sunset on the Highway of the Sun, on our way from Constanta to Bucharest.

What one sees here is Mirror in Tact; it not broken. Nice images.

Well they used to be. And I still feel like that at times :)

Thnaks, it's one of my favorites.

The noun FISH doesn't have a form for plural! Not even... 'as in different species'. So, 'fishes' does not exist...

Oh really?

more than one species of fish

You missed some classes there...

Beautiful day it was that Sunday. One that will live within me for the rest of my life (along with the next day, spent in Bucharest). The water was cold, but great, the sea indeed restless, and so were the seagulls; and if you were at the beach sometime at noon, we might just have passed one another. :)
Glad to see pics from the Aquarium, as I haven't been there in quite a while - shame on me - although I did manage to see a dead dolphin on the beach that Sunday. Almost ruined my day.
Very nice pics of the Port as well. You were at "Vraja Marii", weren't you? Excelent food, except the pizza... worst ever. (but who eats pizza in Constanta anyway, when you can enjoy the best shawarma in the country - in my oppinion - in Ovidiu Square?)
And I hope you rode the "Telegondola" at night. While the sight is beautiful at day, at night, when all the lights from the casino, hotels etc are on, it's just magic. Very easy to leave your soul there, to quote from one of Morcheeba's songs ("The sea"). :)
Take care. Have phun.

Well, you are right about the place the photo was taken from.

As for the Telegondola, no, do not want to repeat that yet. I'm through with all the bad memories involving Mamaia, but the Telegondola must wait for another year.

Bineinteles ca "mai mult decat o specie de ovina" te va determina sa folosesti pluralul SHEEP...s! Oaie!

Alina said...

Anonymous, you are so funny. I mean, of course the numbers are comparable! And no, Sheeps does not exist as a plural form of sheep.

Sorry you were wrong about fish/fishes, but sometimes you simply need to learn how to take defeat...

BTW, would a book called Pennsylvania Fishes finally get your stupid comments off my blog???

Pat, thank you and welcome to my photoblog.

TOR, well you know I also love your work. Although you've deprived us of it lately :) Thank you and looking forward to seeing more of your photos.

Thanks, Romerican, thought I was the only one who believed in the existance of fishes :P

"And the fish wizard said:'As long as people believe, we continue to exist; but when they stop believing...teachers give more private lessons :D' and then he was gone."
